04.09.2013 - 20 cent hike on Petrol RON95; What say you?

During the General Election, everyone of us aware that; the large sum of money used to buy voters, preparing for the winning, setting up the stations and planning the cheats is going to be claimed soon, just the matter of time. Even the silly 1 knows where and how the government is going to claim them back. E.g. Government Sales Tax, Service Tax and Petrol Price hike.
4 months past; everyone is waiting for the real to happen. I still remember the slogan used by the federal "Janji Ditepati" / Fulfilling the promises. And now they are fulfilling their promises; i.e. killing the citizen. What really makes me feel disappointed is, the government has promised that there will be no petrol price increment before the election. Now, they claimed that there is no increment of petrol price but reduction of government subsidies on petrol. What kind of bullshit it is? RON97 in my country is charged at 2.70 per litre and now with the increased of RON95, i.e. 2.10 per litre. According to this joker, the government is still paying for the subsidies of 63 cent for RON95, i.e. 2.10 + 0.63 = 2.73 per litre. Is that call cheating or what? RON97 = 2.70 and RON95 = 2.73? Silliest thing I ever come across. RON97 is more expensive than RON95? Let's be stupid and accept them. In fact there is nothing much we can do except listen, listen, listen and pay, pay and pay.
Now, what we are more concern of is, will other remaining items including necessity items increased too? This is what happen in the past. Petrol increase 20cents, other items increased 10 cents. When petrol price dropped, other items price remains. When petrol price increase again, other items increases too. So, when will the 'other items' price dropping? That shows how our government handle such situation. Lack of responsibility and being too selfish. When they started the BR1M; i.e. RM500; they call it an award to the citizen; but we call it 'government returning our money';  I have strong feeling that this will surely be collected back soon. In a month, I uses approx. 180 litre of petrol. In a year that will be approx. 2160 litre. If we count the cost I have to fork out for my petrol at 1.90 that will  be 4104 Ringgit per year. If that is based on the new rate, that will be 4536 Ringgit per year. So I have to fork out additional 432 ringgit; not counting on other items that follows the petrol price hike. So, in return, we are actually spending more than what the BR1M returns. Can you ever imagine for those trucking company, where fuel is purely their raw materials to run the business, how are they going to survive? This is where the transportation cost will increase, follow by the goods and reaches to the consumer.
Question is, why can't PETRONAS support the subsidies? we have good grade fuel resources in our country. With the sales / profit from the natural resources from the soil, where are those money goes? what project they are talking about? Why don't they contra the subsidies with the profit gain from the resources? Aren't they feed themselves enough?
Now, the citizen, what have you all did? what is your response? Let me put it simple, everyone is mad, disappointed and angry. For those who sell their vote for the federal government during the election, well, thank you so much for making the price keep on going up. For those that feeling unfair and dissatisfied, don't worry you will get used to it soon and continue to pay the large sum of money for some items that is not worth the price for the sake of surviving. No one go to the street, no one make  police report, no one approach the consumer association, no one boycotting, etc. just throw out and shout out loud in the internet and after days, everything go back to normal. That's why the government continues to implement things that benefits them only and let the citizen suffers. Because even they agitate the citizen, they will not take it that long. Just the matter of time the citizen will rest in peace and continue to serve the government by feeding them fat and bulging. Every senior citizen that I met, says; don't make a mess, don't create problem otherwise the police / government will catch you and put you in jail. Sound like my father in old days. Don't be naughty, otherwise I will cane you.
I am not condemning the citizen or myself or the government but this is the truth in my point of view. The one that increase the price uses expensive cars, living in huge bungalows, owned lands and oversea houses, plenty cash in oversea bank, killing people, etc. What do we get after all?
Yes we have to put a stop but with this kind of mentality (I mean the citizen) it will be just a dream after all. What the citizen know is they are getting 500 Ringgit a year and making a slight noises is sufficient because they are afraid of the dirty government that can kill them or catch them with a framed allegation.
