We were planning to have our trip to Langkawi today, unfortunately the most attractive venue; the cable car is not operational due to periodical scheduled maintenance. We in the thought of going despite knowing it is closed but having the second thought, we decided to postpone it; of course not next week as it is a public holiday for sure it will be packed and crowded. Although we know the trip will not be successful, we backpack and place it at the car boot in case we make a last minute call to go with it. Before we moved out, we stopped by the Cosway (direct selling agency) retail shop to grab some water filters. It is part of 2 years maintenance for the set I bought years ago. While I was paying for the filter, the retail owner alerted me that my cards were almost broken to 2 pieces and may not be functional. I was pretty shocked that time and quickily run through my wallet and discovered all of my credit cards were the same condition. It was caused by frequently bend and seated when placed behind my pants pocket. Luckily it is discovered now rather than later in Langkawi who knows it is no longer functional. So we straight decided to postpone the trip and headed straight to Penang just to waste our time shopping and to catch a movie. We thought of visiting Bukit Bendera; 1 of the attraction hill in Penang which neither 1 of us been there before. We were actually lost our way and headed to a different location. After turns and reverse, we finally found the place but unfortunately the Penang Hill's train is yet operational. It was a newly bought train from Germany (if I am not mistaken) and just completely assembled. According to the security guard, the train will commence operatoinal on 25.04.2011. Well, there is nothing much we can do except to drive away and start thinking our next destination. After number of mumble, we ended at 1 new shopping mall; Time Square. It sounds like very grand but when we reach the mall, to our surprise, it is like a dead mall! The number of shop is unbelievable while visitors / shoppers are lesser than my both hand fingers count. Since we already parked our car in there, we decided to have our tea time there with Swensen Ice Cream. Believe me we are the only customer they have! Anyway after we have our wonderful creamy tasty ice cream, we headed back to the mainland hoping for some other entertainment. We drop-by at the Megamall Pinang looking for a movie The Last Dragon. Not really entertaining though, it is more to like kids fairy tales; but the special effects is really impressive. There goes out Saturday. Nothing much gain except wasting money, time and of course my car fuel!
